Now that Man City have spent a significant sum strengthening the team, are they still inclined to sell players to meet FFP or is the new premier league money giving them the strength to build a large squad.

with John stones yet to join.

I remember reading that yaya toure was surplus is that still the case?

has there been any interest in the likes of Bony?

also Ed did state that silva may be made available for transfer is that no longer the case?

appreciate any info you could share, have a brilliant day eds.

{Ed001's Note - Yaya is available for transfer, no takers yet.

Bony has had interest from Swansea, but is not keen on a return. A couple of Turkish clubs, but he is not keen on there either. Boro, Palace and Everton remain interested.

Silva is available, but only for the right price. He is not being pushed out of the door, but he has already been replaced ready.}

I would assume Sane is Silva replacement.

i remember reading about FFP for City awhile back is that not the case? do they no longer need to sell players considering they are still to buy another player for quite a significant sum.

surely they will perhaps need to force some out? i have no idea how that would even work.

{Ed001's Note - Gundogan actually. They would like to offload a few, but FFP rules are more relaxed now, so it is not as desperate as it was.}

i think it depends on the project.

if they are building a team of Pogba and sterling and firmino, and selling the likes of nasri, dzeko, jovetic.

there is every chance for sterling to be a starter.

i do not see the fee being touted of 30 mill plus and not starting as an option. he will get gametime, and in a similar situation where he thrived with suarez he will thrive with aguero.

considering navas is not really a threat to him ability wise, and nasri is inconsisten and on his way out and milner has joined liverpool. he probably has a year to cement himself. failing to do so will only mean city will go out and replace him with a superior player
