Hi Ed002

How do you think the UEFA ban will affect City’s plans and investment?

are they likely to be successful going via CAS?

Utd Road

{Ed002's Note - I would not expect too much change in terms of transfer plans but some players will look to reject moves if the club are not playing in the Champions League for a couple of seasons. The case is multifaceted in that it covers accounting over-statements and issues surrounding the hacked information (for which the first appeal was launched on June 5, 2019). There was also another issue related to an illegal payment to an agent but that was dropped in December.

I have no way to gauge the outcome of any appeal - but it could take some time.}

Thanks Man in understand that.

How does it works when something is appealed? Is it business as usual until it’s resolved?

{Ed002's Note - That would need to be requested.}

Thanks Ed002 surprising though. Would love him at Utd but that isn't going to happen.

Take it the replacement is Augymang from Dortmund?

{Ed002's Note - Aubameyang is the player that Manchester City want but there is interest in him from elsewhere, whilst he wants a move to another club.}

@Ed002
Hope you're well and the travelling is settling down and great to see you back on the pages.

Would you mind sharing what is the current situation with Augero and where you see Man City going next in the transfer market?

Utd Road

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City have informed Sergio Aguero and Hernan Reguera that they do not see the player in their future plans and that he can leave when he finds a new club. Real Madrid do maintain an interest in Aguero but timing is not good unless a deal for January could be agreed (as the CAS case dealing with their ban may not (probably not) have been resolved by then). PSG will certainly turn to Aguero which in turn will make life difficult for Real Madrid. Milan has new ownership but right now has other plans, and, regardless of the money coming in from China, still have to balance the books. A number of English sides could afford the transfer fee but right now I am not aware of interest. Manchester City will need to be realistic with their financial demands and cannot price Aguero out of a move - as that would possibly stop their bringing in his replacement.}

This may be wide of the mark, but is this replacement potentially Luis Suarez?

{Ed002's Note - He would not be first choice.}

League 1 team fan (I won't name them) just browsing the prem sites seeing what fans have to say, etc. Decent sites by the way well done to the editors! Had to comment: don't understand this mentality of City. For me Sergio is arguably the best in the prem (Courtinho I also like) but definitely the best striker by a mile. Personally I see Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool and good bets for 3 of the top 4 this season (in any order) and if City have Aguero I'd put them above Spurs for the 4th spot. Getting rid of him would make me doubt.
